Well if you haven't already heard the news, the new Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog is out and with it came the 2017 Sale-A-Bration Catalog!!!  That's right, the most awesome time of the year for stampers/crafters:  FREE PRODUCT!!!  For EVERY $50 you spend you get to select free product from the Sale-A-Bration catalog.  Who doesn't like FREE????  And let me tell you, besides all the gorgeous product in the annual catalog, you are going to love, love the new Occasions' product.  Let me know if you don't have your catalogs, I still have a few left for my customers.

The sample I am showing you today uses stamps from the "Beautiful You Stamp Set" in the Occasions catalog -- it truly is the hottest stamp set on the market right now!!!  If you don't believe me, just do a search on Pinterest and see all the incredible samples.  Buy the Beautiful You set with 13 stamps, the new Watercolor Pencils, and either the Blender Pens or Aqua Painters and you can make this card AND GET A SALE-A-BRATION PRODUCT FREE!!!  This is the time to buy!!  Here is what I came up with using this set:

I also used the Wherever You Go Stamp Set (bridge and sun) on this card (in the annual catalog) and the Playful Palette Designer Series Paper Stack.
Until next time,
Sandi

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

This will probably be my last post for 2016, but I am so excited for the new year coming!  Most of you have probably seen sneak peeks of new product coming in the Occasions Mini, and I have a box load of new product to start playing with and share with you.  You are going to love everything!!  But, I do have to admit, I'm sad to see so many of my favorite holiday stamps and accessories retiring.  You still have until January 3rd to order your favorites, with up to a 60% discount.  Click on the picture below and see what is on sale and what is retiring:

Check out the list by clicking on the picture!!
Here are a couple more projects I finished for Christmas.  The card was made with the Snow Place Stamp Set and matching Snow Friends Framelits (I sure hope this set stays around for a while because it is so versatile).  I made the 16 treat boxes for place-settings at our family Christmas dinner. Of course they are filled with chocolate (even my great-grandbabies are old enough for chocolate this year!!).  I used the Gift Bag Punch Board to make the boxes -- I love how they turned out -- what do you think??

This was before the party.

This was after the party!!

My kids just keep multiplying!!
Final note:  I saw a blue crane fly in and sit on my frozen pond this morning -- do you think this means winter is over?????

Until next time, Sandi

ORIGAMI GIFT CARD HOLDER INSTRUCTIONS

Just a quick update to my last post on creating an Origami Gift Card Holder.  Many of you asked for directions so I created a PDF document for making this gift card holder:

GIFT CARDS AND SWAP

At Ronda Wade's November RubberQueen meeting we focused on making gift card holders for all those people (like me) who use gift cards during the holiday season.  What a great way to say "thank you" to health care professionals (doctors, dentists, nurses, receptionists); mail persons; newspaper deliverers; pastors; etc. -- and our family and friends.  I love wrapping gift cards in a beautiful package.  Here are some I made this week using Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper to make this fun origami fold card holder that does not use adhesive:

I used the Presents and Pinecones and This Christmas Designer Series Papers for these gift card holders.

This is what it looks like opened up with the gift card and note tucked into the pockets.

I love how pretty the designs are on the back side of the paper.  I made matching envelopes using the "must-have" Envelope Punch Board (everybody needs one of these from Stampin' Up!).

My swap card for the meeting.

Until next time,
Sandi

FUN AT CREATIVE RETREAT!!

Last weekend I attended one of my favorite 3-day events:  Creative Retreat!!  Ronda Wade puts this event on 4 times a year now -- because so many want to attend.  Everybody brings the craft(s) they like to create (we have quilters, card and 3-D enthusiasts, scrapbooking, and so much more).  Some just come to see old friends and do Ronda's classes.  I usually take my scrapbooking materials because this is what I love to do the most.  However, I had tons of card kits that I needed to catch up on, so I worked on them and visited with many friends I haven't seen in a long time.  Here are pictures of a couple of cards I did and one of the many, many pillow gifts we receive from Ronda:

I love this card -- it is so pretty in real life.  It is called a "Fan Fold" and you use your scoring tool on the Stampin' Trimmer or your Simply Scored Scoring Tool to create the "fan" affect.  In this one I used the gorgeous Pop of Pink Specialty Designer Series Paper

Here is another "Fan Fold" using the Presents & Pinecones Designer Series Paper.

I loved this card also.  Ronda Wade created the design as part of a kit I received from her Create for Christ one-day retreat.

One of our pillow gifts sitting at our work stations when we got up Saturday.  I loved this and plan on making more.   The treat box is made using the Envelope Punch Board.

Until next time,
Sandi

OCTOBER RUBBERQUEEN MEETING

We had another awesome RubberQueen meeting this month at Ronda Wade's new storefront studio.  (I really need to remember to take some pictures next month so you can see how beautifully she has decorated her studio.)  Today I'm sharing with you my swap card and Tamie Ackerson's cards she made for her technique presentation.  Tamie demonstrated the "oldie-but-goodie" Dryer Sheet Technique.  I only wish my camera would have accurately depicted all the dazzling diamond beauty in her cards -- they truly shimmered in real life.

My very favorite stamp set in the Holiday Mini:  Father Time!

Supplies:  Father Time Stamp Set; Real Red, Crumb Cake, and Vanilla Card Stock; This Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper; Real Red, Garden Green, Crumb Cake, Tempting Turquoise, Basic Black Archival, and Versa Mark Stamp Pads, Copper Embossing Powder; Candy Cane Baker's Twine; Layering Ovals Framlits Dies; Sponges; Aqua Pen; Heat Gun; and Big Shot.

Tamie Ackerson's Dryer Sheet Technique (also for the next 3 cards).

Until next time,
Sandi
